26 Dec 2008 - Central Catering and Mess Tents

In order to prolong the main camping fields for different activities. It has been decided that any Group who will be have mess tents that these will have to be sited off the main fields.

Areas will have been set aside and you will be required to erected the catering and mess tents in these areas. The site Duty Warden or Service Crew will inform you of the permitted areas.

One of the main reasons is that the large number of people entering and leaving the tents cause the ground to become extremely muddy during wet weather thus making the areas unusable for campers later on. It would be helpful if Camp Leaders also use ground sheets in these mess tents as well.
